Tapabrata Ray

Tapabrata Ray obtained his B.Tech(Hons.), M.Tech and PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Between 1996 and 2004, he held a number of senior research positions in Singapore (Information Technology Institute, Institute for High Performance Computing, Temasek Laboratories at National University of Singapore). He is a Professor with the School of Engineering and Information Technology at University of New South Wales, Canberra. He was on Future Fellowship between Aug 2012 and Aug 2016 and currently serves as a Member of College of Experts of the Australian Research Council(2017-2019), Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation and a Member of the Editorial Board of Engineering Optimization. He has authored well over 250 refereed publications and supervised 10 PhD students to completion. He currently leads the Multidisciplinary Design Optimization Group. CV in PDF
